Continuing efforts to strengthen the competitiveness of Kosovo’s apparel companies
On January 8th, 2019, the USAID EMPOWER Private Sector project in partnership with Sida started a 50-day activity to provide firm-level assistance on Production Management Systems and group training to apparel manufacturers. The activity aims to improve the production management capabilities of up to five apparel companies through firm-level assistance, group training and workshops on Production Management Systems. So far, firm-level assistance has been provided to companies Creative, Puntex and Fashion Network Industries (FNW).
The apparel manufacturing companies that are participating in this training course, had identified a need for this training and considered that this capacity building improvement will add value in terms of improving their production management systems. The objective of the assistance is to increase production management capacities and processes by developing a systematic approach to planning, cost reduction and productivity improvement.
This activity is a part of the USAID EMPOWER Private Sector’s commitment to advance the productivity and quality methods that help improve competitiveness and sales while creating more jobs in the Kosovo apparel industry.
