Kosovo Apparel Companies Showcased their Export-Ready Products at the Third Annual Apparel Convention
The third edition of the Kosovo Apparel Industry Convention was held on October 22, 2019, in Prishtina. The Convention provided an avenue to showcase the latest Made in Kosovo apparel innovations and trends. The event gathered many manufacturers, government agencies, donors, international buyers, and other relevant industry stakeholders.
An exhibition of Made in Kosovo apparel by 15 local companies, including designers, and fashion houses highlighted the latest Kosovo-made apparel trends. Forum sessions covered the key issues of the apparel industry including the latest trends, export success stories, challenges in the industry, trends, designs and exports in the EU market, workforce development and others.
To increase sales and expand exports, over 37 B2B meetings were held between Kosovo producers and international buyers, with site visits continuing at these companies in the days following the event. The Convention also featured a runway show which put the limelight on Kosovo apparel and showcased design sketches by college students as part of the 2019 Best Student Design Contest. The event closed with a ceremony where the best student designs were awarded prizes.
